best season is from Oktober to March, when You get bigger swells from the northwest and west and the winds are very favourable. Only very occasionally some groundswells during offseason.
The large beach has a couple of beachbreaks over sand, a very nice sandbar at the rivermouth down south and a nice right on reef / sand at the Marabout. Allthough it can get big in the winter this is a fun surfing place.
