During my hitherto stay in the south I had avoided a few of the most renowned natural wonders in the area because I wanted to visit them with my family. I had picked them up at the airport during the night and we had spent the night at the Grindavik camping. Luckily the rain had stopped in the night and we awoke to a once again bright sky.
After breakfast we had a quick stop at the Seitun sulphurs to give them a first idea about the volcanic nature of the island. Then we continued along the fascinating Kleifarvatn and then past Reykjavik to Þingvellir.
Will be continued. Meanwhile return to the Iceland chapters.
Or jump to episode 12.
