Around noon I had a look at a nearby beach break and found some interesting sandbars. The waves breaking here were too small though and I returned to the reef. The tide had risen and given the waves more hollowness with less escape room in between the wave and the rock shelf with various stones sticking out.
The challenging conditions and the growing crowd kept me out of the water for the moment. After a while I decided to check the beach break again and with the higher tide found better waves, so I paddled out here. It wasn´t comparable to the point regarding wave quality but it was ko until the tide got too high and the nice peaks dissolved into closeouts.
So, I headed back to the point in the early evening, which during summertime here meant that there were still almost 4 hours of daylight left. The rock shelf was now covered with water (but with the stones still lurking just underneath the ocean surface) and the crowd had increased to a level I had become completely unaccustomed since being on the island.
