Generally, longboarders were dominating the peak with just two or three guys on standard thrusters good and quick enough to catch and surf decent waves. For my taste it was just too crowded, so despite the very tempting waves, I decided to save my energy for the following day.
Talking about energy: I needed something to eat now urgently and was not in the mood to cook noodles again. So, I went to look for a restaurant. Not surprisingly all the numerous restaurants on this part of the peninsula were all closed due to off-season. So, I drove in direction to Oristano hoping to find something in the towns on the way.
This turned out to be a difficult task and it took me a while until I finally found a pizzeria in Riola. The pizza was good and large enough to still my hunger. I had a Ichnusa (the local beer) with it and when I went to pay I was surprised: the whole package costed me just 7,50 €. I was pretty sure that I would return to this place again.
It still wasn´t too late (it gets dark at around 5 pm this time of the year) when I drove back to Mandriola, parked the van and went to sleep, eager for the next day which was supposed to be windy and blessed with swell.
