Saturday, December 2nd
The day started rainy and cold as suspected. The wind was a stiff west, and I did not feel like paddling out. I had my breakfast in my bar and then headed north for some more exploration. On the way I checked a couple of easily accessible spots. Unsurprisingly it was onshore everywhere on this west-facing coast and despite the rugged coastline with little peninsulas and bays nowhere was enough wind protection.
I nevertheless kept driving until I reached Bosa. The sand beach south of town looked as messed up as all the other beaches before and I decided to switch to tourist mode and have a closer look at the historic town centre up the river.
I parked the van at the south side of the river and walked into the old town centre via the old bridge. The – even with the dull light – very colourful town hangs at a quite steep hill-flank and walking up the labyrinthic alleys up to the fortress overlooking the town and the valley turned out to be a semi-sportive exercise.
