Once my breakfast was burned, energy levels quickly vanished, and I had to get back on land for more food. The sun now had managed to send some energy down on the area and together with the light wind it created a fairly mild microclimate. I walked over to the cape and despite the wind blowing sideshore, the waves were quite good. Not as clean as at Mini Capo – where the wind was side-offshore - but good sized and nicely running down along the reef.

According to the forecast the wind was about to turn south-east soon which would mean deteriorating conditions here. In expectation of this significant change of weather patterns I drove to the exposed west-facing beach. I found it still onshore and used the remaining time with sunny and mild weather for a well needed outdoor shower and a shave.

I just finished this major act of body hygiene in time before the clouds arrived and it got chilly and soon rainy. The wind had turned. But it was very light and made very slow progress in cleaning the waves from the wind chop.
