Dänisch Nienhof:

The wood at the coast ends, the terrain drops for a couple of meters and a large beach is on offer. It stretches from the little cape at the east and far into the Förde at the west. The first (and best) part from the cape to a tiny jetty is a bathing area during summer season and at this time windsurfing is not allowed. That recreational beach has a little cafe and playgrounds for kids, all a bit old and rugged but still good for a family day at the beach. It also offers some of the best windsurfing conditions of this time of the baltic sea.

West of the jetty the beach is open for everybody at everytime.

About 300m from the beach is a parking lot with some space. From there You have to carry whatever You need to the beach.

windsurfing: strong easterly winds bring some nice waves that break farely clean over some good situated sandbars. Waves are allways best near the cape. The wind comes perfectly sideshore. The beach west of the jetty has to deal with more unstable winds with directions east but gets better with northeast. There is still some waves coming down there. Westerly winds offer flatwater to bump and jump conditions.

kiteboarding: very high probability of suitable windconditions. Space at the beach is very limited and in main season there is too many beach goers to have really relaxed sessions.

surfing: with strong winds from ESE You might find some amazingly clean (for baltic sea standarts) waves near the cape.....

other activities: nice sailing and nice bike trips in this area
