Wednesday, January 6th began with a very cold morning. Temperatures were below zero, but it was sunny again. It was about time for a mountain bike tour. Due to the unusually active Mediterranean Sea over the past week and-a-half, I hadn´t rode the bike since we arrived. Usually cycling is the outdoor activity I do most here, and it was about time to go for a ride. I choose the route up to the Col du Canadel and from there to the east along the ridge running parallel to the south coast. That route doesn´t stand out for exciting single trails but offers brilliant views on the coast and sea. And the ride back along the La Mole river is a nice one too.
With that tour I had rounded up the trip. I had had a few nice surf sessions, was windsurfing and did a mountain bike tour. That´s a combination defining a successful trip, even when none of these outdoor activities came close to what I consider epic. But throw into the mix the general beauty of the area plus the fact, that it was a family trip and I had nothing to complain.
