It had been a great getaway from the northern Europe winter and the Covid curse. So, we didn´t really appreciate having to leave the next morning. We made it to Reims only shortly after the curfew hour and spent the night here. The next morning, we visited the truly exceptional cathedral and left in the late morning for the remaining 800 kilometres drive back to home.
Not far from Reims we drove into the inevitable wet weather, had snow covered roads up at the Ardennes and a mix of rain and snow all the remaining way through the north German lowlands.
Bonjour tristesse encore.
