Here the parking has way more space, the beach is fine sand and there are even showers to rinse off the salt after the session. The wind was blowing side to side-onshore with a decent force 6 to 7 and some nice waves were wobbling in. Like always the waves were better a bit upwind in front of the restaurant. At least three sandbars were producing rideable lefts which helped spread the crowds and left room for some decent slashing.
The last clouds soon disappeared and it stayed sunny all day. Wind and waves were best during the early morning but it stayed windy all day. Just in the early afternoon it became more and more gusty and waves were getting smaller, but at that point almost everybody already had several hours of wave-sailing in the pocket. The only down side of this wonderful day was the enormous amount of seaweed drifting along the coast in large patches. Old schoolers on single fins like me collected way too much hay on every run. Just the guys on the mini fin quads managed to sail undisturbed.
It was nevertheless a very nice day and I enjoyed it a lot, knowing that air and water temperatures will drop soon. But so will do the crowds.
