You’ll also find pure vegetarian and organic restaurants, as well as really nice little bars for breakfast and drinks. Again, compared to the other Cabo Verde islands, the variety and quality of the food was really appealing, no matter where we went. Only once we experienced a dinner in a place that we did not really enjoy.
One day later, that place was demolished; only bricks and stones were left, with the demolition excavator standing at the very spot where we had been dining the night before. But we would like to emphasize that this was not caused by our initiative! Even if we would probably not have objected to the proposal to take that place down, it was not our decision.
In addition to all the restaurants and the numerous bars, Sal even offers a real dancing club, which is pretty busy on the weekends. So if you fancy a good party, Sal has definitely something to offer.
For us, parties were not the main focus of the trip, but those legendary waves were. However, once you have that “once in a lifetime” opportunity to sail one of these rare perfect waves in the world, usually the conditions turn out to be completely different compared to “normal” as soon as you are there.
