That beautiful day ended for most surfers with a walk back to the car park in the dark, for me with a desperate search for a place to get some food. In Klitmoeller every place was already closed so ended munching burgers in the McD in Thysted.

When I drove back to the sea the next morning I was very curious about what would be left from Christobal´s glory. It was a sunny morning and the wind was coming from the east. My first stop was the bay. Small but defined lines were running across the smooth sea and mussel reef had the odd nice wave. A few SUP-ers and longboarders were out and had a sweet session. I took a second look to the left and decided to move a bit further south.

Again this was a good decision. The reef was still feeling Christobal´s pulse and there were just a few guys out. Time to hurry to get wet. I had another nice session until the onshores kicked in. That was it and I decided to spend the rest of the day hanging out in the sun before driving back home. A last check in the late afternoon then revealed that it still was not over. Small but fun peaks were still rolling over the reef and the onshore had dropped a bit. I had another session with only two other guys in the lineup and again had plenty of fun until on a left a got a bad cramp in my leg. Now it was definitely over.
