The wind forecast was still a bit volatile but had a strong southerly tendency. There was even a chance for a period with south-easterly winds later on. Wednesday morning would start with winds from south-southwest which would later turn south and get very light. At least this scenario was forecasted Tuesday evening. In any case the Thy would be the best place to deal with this wind tendencies.
I spent the night somewhere on the road about 80 kilometres away from my destination and in the morning steered my van to the smelly place. Passing that roundabout up the hill and turning off to the road to the harbour which gives the first overview onto the sea is always an exciting moment. Halfway down I turned off to sort of a parking and had a closer look. Waves seemed smaller than expected but the wind was a light side-off and the waves breaking in the shadow of the jetty looked very clean from up here. I decided not to waste any time with checking other spots and drove down to the still somewhat shabby commercial area bordering the beach.
