I passed them with respect. When I reached the tip of the cliff I had view at the next bay and was reassured, that the grass was not greener on that side of the fence.

The view from up there also revealed that there was still a nice pulse out at the ocean. A pulse that obviously caused some turbulences at the sandy beach. A large eddy was visible from above, situated between the break under the western cliff and the main peak in the middle of the bay. The yellowish color of the swirling waters indicated that there were some decent forces at work here, something that I wouldn´t have expected from this smallish swell. From up here it became clear, why nobody was out at the western part of the beach despite some nice looking waves.

On the way back the beautiful hinterland made a nice background but my attraction was mostly caught by the fun waves breaking in the bay. I passed the goat guardians again and back down at the beach I went for a last check. That check convinced me. I decided to ignore my back problems and head out for a surf.

I choose the empty waves west of the main peak that offered some fun looking rights and some nice lefts a bit further west. I kept in mind the eddy and tried to stay away from it. I was out alone here and soon had two very nice waves, the last one a longer right that ended pretty far down means near to the western end of the beach. I paddled straight back out but somehow didn´t manage to get back to the right peak.
