For my taste there was too much wind on the break, so I walked back, hoping that the swell now had reached the necessary size to make the other wave start working. And so it was. On the last meters to the parking I had a first view on the break, and I knew what I would do next.
There was just a handful of other surfers out and there were plenty of lefts, often running for a good distance. The wave was breaking in shallow waters over an uneven stony ledge. That ledge gives it a good shape and some speed but makes the ride a bit risky. Do not dive head-first if you fall! The take-off is in a narrow area close to some rocks occasionally sticking out of the water. Gotta get used to this in this area. With bigger waves the spot actually gets easier to surf as it gets less shallow.
Still this is nothing compared to the other breaks in the area and I had a joyful session with my longboard. After my session I went for a walk to have look to the next point further east. It was smaller there but surf-able with a longboard and probably worth a try during a bigger swell.
