Just before I paddled out the København strike team had arrived again, this time consisting of Vince and René. After some pondering they had decided to paddle out here too but check another wave around the corner. It broke very close to the rocks, if not to say straight on the rocks, but obviously was very surf-able as I could judge from the view from my lineup.
Back at the van I had just opened a beer when Vince and René came out to fix some loose fins (it obviously was very shallow over at their wave). They were beaming over the fun waves they were having over there and I decided to come with them to take some pictures.
But as soon as I reached the coast from where I had a good view on the wave strange things happened. The sea went almost flat and as long as I stayed there ready to shoot the action only small and barely surf-able waves broke. I persevered until it was dark without seeing any decent wave surfed. Then I gave up and walked back only to see a very solid set break in the semi-dark in front of the parking.
