So we drove on to have a look at the flint stones. When the narrow valley opened and allowed a first view on the sea we were electrified. Long lines were rolling in and got transformed into a very nice looking left on one of the reefs. But it was hard to judge the actual size of these beauties from up here and a closer look from the beach revealed that the waves were small. Very small. At least most of them.

Once in a while a bigger set rolled in and looked good on the outer reefs. We were all alone and it was almost glassy and still pretty warm despite the overcast sky so I decided to paddle out with the longboard. At the beginning I rode a few of the more consistent smaller waves at the inside but they were very weak. So I paddled further out and after a while found the correct position for the bigger sets that came about every 15 minutes. It was worth being patient and I had a few fun rides.

Back at the beach it was time for some nutrition and a well sized pot of noodles with some homemade tomato sauce recharged us. In the late afternoon we returned to the “Danish Trestles” dubbed spot of the morning. School was obviously over but quite a few of the Danes seem to have flexible working schedules and the lineup once again consisted of more than 20 people. My buddy went out anyhow while I was still a bit tired from the previous session and decided to have a closer look at the harbour wall.
