I went out at the sandbar to the south as the right here looked the most promising. When paddling out I almost became seasick as the sea was very unruly and peaks and turbulences were popping up and vanishing within seconds. But with a bit of effort and a couple of duck-dives I made it out. But I had lost a bit the orientation on the way out and the wobbling sea and a decent current had deflected my path quite a bit and I ended in the channel between the right and the peak in front of the staircase.

I decided to stick with the peak instead of paddling against the current to the right. But the sea was still very wobbly, with peaks popping up and vanishing and the odd freak wave hammering at unexpected places. I never found a rhythm and after a while decided to finish the session and wait for the ocean to become a little bit more organized.

Back at the beach I found out that probably every surfer from this part of the country must have had the same idea and a constant stream of them was coming down the staircase and paddling out.

I needed a break and after watching the action a bit I decided to use my regeneration time to leave the crowds and have a look at the other potential breaks of the area, keeping in mind that the wind was supposed to turn further back and that this meant an offshore breeze for certain parts of the coast.

Check this gallery for a few more pics from the beachbreak.
