Actually, this place lies a little bit in the middle of nowhere along the route 44, about 2 kilometres southeast of Jøssingfjord. If you come from the southeast, the 44 passes the Raunslitjørna lake and winds up a few curves to a pass. From here it is about 100 slightly descending meters to the southern tip of Rundtjørn, another one of the many picturesque little lakes in between a sea of rocks. Now, a dirt road turns off to the left / west and into a small area besides the main road, where you can park your car (the dirt road heading west is protected with a bar for public traffic).
From that parking it is just a few meters down the dirt road and into that fantastic rock landscape. For a overlook on the area, find a route to climb up on one of the round rock hills (some basic climbing skills and good physical condition needed). From up there you have a fantastic view over the sea of rocks of the Magma Geopark area. It is absolutely stunning!
This little climbing trip might take you half an hour. If you want to dive more into this fantastic landscape, you need a little bit more time. If you happen to bring a mountain bike, cycle down the dirt road. It leads mostly down through an alley of rock hills, past a small lake and into a hollow mostly filled up by the Mjelkevatnet lake. This lake is surrounded by rock hills and together with these forms a masterpiece of nature art. Some lucky guy seems to own the right to drive down to this lake and has a little hut and a boat down there, surely providing nice fishing excursions on the lake rounded up by a beer at the hut.
If you cycled down to the lake, you now have to return to the main road via sometimes steep ascends, but this effort is worth it. The dirt road is a dead-end road, so there are no other options with the bicycle. If you hike down, there are two more footpaths / tracks leading further into this labyrinth of rocks and lakes.
