Friday, March 15th: Time to say goodbye. I drove Claudia to San Juan where she would take a plane back home in the evening. We spent the day strolling around through Viejo San Juan and had a few Margaritas to sooth the splitting blues. Then she left.
Saturday, March 16th: Now it was my buddy Christian who had to do the drive to San Juan and say goodbye to his girlfriend Mathilde. Now we were just three guys left, Albert, Christian and me. I spent the day at Jobos, surfing small waves during a windless day. The evening was spent at another Barbecue and with a few too many beers at JD´s.
Sunday, March 17th was a slow day with small waves and no wind. I went to Terry to pick up my windsurf board and the repaired sail. We had gotten a new neighbour at Jobos, Marc an American Cuban and from now on a steady companion for our nightly tours through the local bars.
Monday, March 18th the wind was back and so were the waves. A light force 4 to 5 breeze was blowing and the waves reached 4 meters. We went to Shacks and this time we could handle the conditions, resulting in a very nice wave-sailing session. El General – a local band – was blasting out of the car speakers as we drove back with a big grin.
