Tuesday, March 19th: Another windless day, but with solid waves. We checked Wilderness, where it was big. Crashboat was – to our surprise – flat. So we drove back to the North Shore and had a lock at Surfers Beach, where it was – not surprisingly – heavy.
Wednesday was more in our range, Jobos had 2 meter waves and no wind and I was out surfing all day. Err, surfing for me meant: lots of paddling, countless duck dives and no real rides. I still was a bloody beginner and slowly realized that being able to windsurf in solid waves doesn´t really help in surfing. We finished the day with Mrs. Marihuana and a few games of billiard and a couple of beers at JD´s.
Thursday, March 21st: We prepared to sell our car and one guy already took it to a test ride. The wind had come back and was a solid force 6 with an unusual cross-onshore direction. Waves were small and a bit chaotic. A bit like North Sea conditions but fun! In the evening Christian drove Albert to the airport. Now it was just Christian and me left and I was pretty happy about that. I knew we would build a perfect crew for the upcoming four months of traveling.
Friday, March 22nd: It was raining in the morning but pretty windy. We went to Isabela for breakfast before we started a long wave-sailing day at Jobos. I used the 4.2 sail and the swell was constantly getting bigger with about 3 meters in the evening. We sailed all day and spend the evening at the Tamboo Too in Rincon. Party was big there…..
