Monday, Feb. 11th. Christian had spent another night somewhere on the streets of San Juan before he made back by bus and taxi to our shack. Once back he and me entered a taxi to check the car dealers in and around Arrecibo. We soon split and each searched in different areas. The driver of my taxi seemed to like me a bit as he kept touching my knee on the way to some dealers outside town. I prefer females caressing my legs and mentally prepared for a little fight in case he would decide to drive into some sinister backyard, but he could control himself and we reached the car dealer without any remarkable incidents.
Car dealer is a bit misleading description as this was more of a junkyard. But that was exactly what I was looking for. The idea was to transform the Hawaiian rent a wreck concept into a buy a wreck and sell it after the trip bargain. And indeed I found an interesting vehicle on the yard. It was a massive pickup truck that should cost 500 $ and therefor lay within our sale and resale budget. The dealer warned me that the hydraulic steering was not working anymore but I went for a test ride anyhow.
I drove this thing along a straight road without much speed but nevertheless had to work with the steering wheel like a madman to keep the truck on the road. The damaged steering insisted on leading the truck off the road and I constantly had to correct to keep this thing going straight. That was a bit too much hassle so I decided not buying it. As I didn´t find anything else suitable I drove back to our shack with my man-loving driver and went for a surf.
