After this we were in need of some nutrition so we drove on to another bay and went into the Paradise Café for a late breakfast. Afterwards we went for another session in the bay south of the café but the wind was light and too onshore for having too much fun.
In the evening we were once again eager for some night life. We went to the “Chilly´s” bar and later on to the “Scaramouche”, sort of a disco. There was almost nobody out besides us, so we gave up and drove to the yacht harbour to sleep. In the middle of the night I woke up and had to vomit without knowing why. The amount of alcohol consumed before had been very tiny and could not be the reason.
The next morning I was still down and exhausted. Maybe I had to much sun the day before. Anyway, the day was done for me and I spent it mostly sleeping, whereas Chris had a very nice flat water windsurfing session at the “Isla de Passion Bay”. We spent the night at the yachting and next morning took the ferry (better said: we took the ferry that was scheduled for the morning but departed at noon).
Back on the mainland we drove south to Tulum and arrived there in the evening. Running on a bit of a losing streak at the moment we had some trouble with a parking attendant and with the magnetic switch of our van immediately after entering town.
Mayans obviously were not the greatest ocean lovers, as Tulum is the only site anywhere near the sea. continue >>>
