And it isnīt even a remarkable site, in contrary it is very small und unspectacular, getting its fame only from the beauty of the surrounding coast and the fact, that there is some very nice beaches here.

Saturday morning we visited the Maya site and headed back to the beach as soon as the trade winds kicked in. The wind was blowing with force 5 to 6 and at the reef outside a good 1m wind swell was breaking. We went sailing immediately. Unfortunately the wind was blowing from the exact direction the swell came in so besides a little bit of jumping and the odd backside ride there was not too much that could be done with the waves. Still very nice windsurfing especially in the area sheltered by the reef. The water was warm and the view was fantastic.

Back on the beach we had more nice views as a few women were soaking up the sun without leaving any part of their body sheltered. This was a bit disturbing for us as we hadnīt come near any female skin for quite a while now.

So we went to the bar, had some food and immediately went back out for another windsurf session. Afterwards we went back to one of the bars, made friends with the owner, had some excellent quesadillas, went to another bar, met Brits, Rastas, girls and a few freaks and really started to love this place.
