[Mistral p10] [Mistral p12]

It got dark at about 4:30 in the afternoon and we cooked a little new years eve meal, had some wind, went to a bar for some beers and a Whiskey, went back to the van, realized that it was still only 9 and a few hours to go for midnight, had some champagne nevertheless, listened to the Doors blasting out of the speakers, were freezing and already way to drunk. We passed out at 10 and missed the transmission into 1996.

January 1st we took it easy and cured the hangover with a little bicycle tour along the coast.

January 2nd we got to experience the real thing. Wind from the west, force 7, cross-onshore, rain squalls, swell picking up, from 2 meter, later on 3 meter with the odd logo high set. Conditions improved in the afternoon with cleaner waves. I went out on the small wave board, sail 4.2, got seriously beat up at the first attempt, had an excellent session on the second attempt. Late in the afternoon the sun came out. We finished the day with a big grin and a pizza and a few beers.

The next day it was sunny and the wind came from the northwest. Mistral. We decided to go to the Rhone delta for a little search.
