Baja California - How to get there:

The best way to fly out of Germany is Frankfurt. Most intercontinental flights depart from here, and shuttle flights from other German Airports often do not take any windsurfing gear on board. From Frankfurt, there is a large choice of flights towards San Diego, e.g. US Airways via Philadelphia (www.us-airways.com). Check out American airlines, as they frequently offer better deals than German airline companies. Furthermore, US Airways has very acceptable prices for windsurfing equipment (100 US-$ one way for each bag, weight is not specified).

Arriving in San Diego, you have 3 options:
1)Align your flights to the schedule of the Solo Sports Van and jump on the Bus in San Diego, which will take you all the way down to the Camp. The van goes to Punta San Carlos every 2 weeks on Saturdays in the morning to bring in new supplies. One week later, the van will go back. But, choosing this option requires the timing with the flight schedules to be perfect, which is not that easy to ensure.
2)Choose a rental car. A Jeep, an SUV or similar would be recommended, especially for the last 1.5 hours on the dirt road. Unfortunately, a Mexican insurance will be needed for the total duration of your stay in PSC, which significantly increases rental fees (approx. 25 US-$ per day). Disadvantage: Basically, you would not need a car in PSC, as there are no alternative spots in the surrounding area. Advantage: Easiest way to bring your private equipment down to PSC. Furthermore, the ride is really nice and you get a good impression of beautiful Baja California.
3)Flying in to PSC. Solo Sports organizes the journey with a small sporting airplane, departing from San Diego. The trip is around 300 $ per person one way. But, unfortunately, taking along your private windsurfing gear is not an option on these small planes.
