How to get there:
Not all airlines take windsurfing gear nowadays. Emirates does, via Dubai to Perth, with an extra fare.
Rental car/van:
Just check google, depending on your budget and your plans you find everything from 4wheel driven camper for offroad driving to small car for reasonable prices. Just remember, you might drive long distances, so all inclusive kilometres might be worth it!
Gear:
You might consider taking your own gear, but it is possible to rent gear in Perth or Lancelin, check windslanc@hotmail.com for example.
Living:
Lancelin: Lancelin Lodge, www.lancelinlodge.com.au perfect choice, right at the spot, they even pick you up in Perth in case you need a lift.
Alternatively there is a campground or consider renting an appartement if you are in for a long term stay in a group.
Geraldton: Sunset Beach Caravanpark or camping at Coronation Beach, for the later option it will be pretty much back to the basics
