After watching the pumping surf, hesitating and struggling with desire, insecurity and fear for quite a while, I decided to respect my limits and leave it to the – now pretty numerous – locals. I drove over to Gwithian to watch the show. I didnīt have enough coins for the parking fee machine and parked the car for a quick check. The view of the incoming mountains of water, that in sets produced triple overhead faces, made this check last a little bit longer. Back at the parking lot I saw a ticket behind my window wipers. I was just starting to get angry about this constant rip off – have you paid and displayed s%§it - when a local came over and offered me his paid ticket. This once again confirmed my impression that most people in the Celtic parts of the islands are super friendly. Thank you folks!
That left me time to watch some more of the action until the wind slowly turned north and started to pick up. Time to change to the other coast and check Englandīs second best wave
