It followed a hard drive on narrow winding country roads through the thickest fog. I was pretty relieved when I finally reached the motorway.
I made it to Dover the same night and had a short sleep before I took the ferry next morning. After a long day of driving I reached Hamburg at night, pretty worn down. 2600 km and two ferry rides in 5 days was quite a trip, but I had managed to squeeze the maximum of ocean time out of that short time and had been rewarded with some excellent waves. It was worth the effort.
