A Sunny Sunday Afternoon
What can you do, when the weekend is packed with obligations and the next halfway surfable ocean is a four hour drive away?
Go back to the roots and go for a windsurfing session at the Baltic Sea. After coaching a girls football match Friday evening, helping to prepare a festival of my daughter´s football club Saturday morning, delivering a loft bed sold via ebay and getting a new bed at that Swedish furniture store (my personal biggest horror scenario) Saturday afternoon, setting up that bed Saturday night and stepping right into a nail while doing this, watching the ballet performance of my daughters class in a theatre Sunday morning and noon I hit the road at 3 in the afternoon for the one and a half hour drive to the Baltic Sea.
The wind was forecasted to blow decent from the northwest, picking up in the afternoon. So it was, at 5 I launched my small board and 5.0 sail under sunny skies in a strong breeze. I had chosen that less known beach to avoid crowds and had a fun session, despite the tiny waves. When I was done I went the short way to this place where usually all the northwest wind action is happening
