Sunny morning, light offshore, small waves, aching back.

It was proposed to stay like this the whole day – besides my aching muscles that were supposed to get better during the day – so we took our time, had breakfast in the warm morning sun and later on drove to Sainte Avoye.

This is a nice little village situated at the peninsula between the Riviere d´ Auray and the Riviere de Bono. The prettiest old stone houses were already renovated and their gardens an abundance of carefully manicured plants.

Very late in the afternoon we returned to Ste. Barbe. Waves were very small by now, the little rise in the swell that I had hoped for hadn´t happened. I hesitated for a while but then decided to get wet. At least it was offshore and sunny and so I went to shred the knee-high breakers on the longboard.
