Blavand, quick info
climate:
rough northern climate, summers are moderate in temps with max. 25oC, spring and autumn are cold to cool with plenty of rain (and wind), winter is f#*$ing cold. Water temps between 5oc in winter and 16oC in summer. Wetsuits needed year round.
wind:
Predominantly westerly winds with quickly passing depressions bring easy wave sailing conditions. West to west-northwest deliver sideshore wavesailing conditions. Winds with a lot of south in the direction come onshore and are very difficult to sail because of the jetties. East-southeast comes sidehore from the left and offers flatwater to bump n´jump conditions
Best season is from April to June and September to November. Winter sees a lot of wind but is too cold most of the times.
waves:
passing depressions bring windswell. Westerly swells have to pass the large sandbar at the Blavandshuk and therefore only bring small waves even with stromy conditions. Southwesterly winds quickly bring bigger waves but with onshore winds
