Romo, quick info

climate:

rough northern climate, summers are moderate in temps with max. 25oC, spring and autumn are cold to cool with plenty of rain (and wind), winter is very cold. Water temps between 5oc in winter and 16oC in summer. Wetsuits needed year round.

wind:

Predominantly westerly winds with quickly passing depressions bring bump´n jump and wave sailing conditions. South winds offer the best combination with nice waves and sideshore winds. North also comes sideshore but due to the islands situation close to the northern mainland usually doesn´t bring a lot of waves. Southwest is still good, west to northwest come onshore.

Best season is from April to June and September to November. Winter sees a lot of wind but is too cold most of the times.

waves:

passing lows bring windswell. Westerly winds bring some decent sized waves but also produce strong currents and onshore wind conditions. Waves from a southern direction do not have a lot of room to gain power but can be worth going there especially in winter as they usually come with southern winds which bring less freezing temperatures.
