[episode 2, p3]

Bunkers is always an option with offshore winds. And on the first glimpse over the dunes it looked perfect. The sun was shining and the light offshore had cleaned the swell and nice lines with some size were coming in. I was just wondering why so few surfers were out at the reef. And at the sandbar very few rides could be watched despite the solid crowd. I soon found out, that the swell direction wasn´t quite perfect and the reef was plagued with strong southerly currents.

At the sandbar most of the waves closed out but once in a while a set with rideable waves came through, still pretty hollow though and chased by a wave hungry pack.

The shorebreak was rough but with a little bit of patience and watching one could find a channel where getting out with dry hair was possible.

Later in the afternoon the wind turned northwest and the show was over. I went to Noerre and checked it but it was crap. Must have been very good earlier that day I later heard.

I decided to head south to a place that would cope with the current wind direction.
